The winner of the South West Agricultural Mechanic of the Year 2012 was announced at the Agricultural Machinery & Equipment Show held on Wednesday 1st February.

The Winner of the 2012 award went to Steve Gibbs of Uphills, Chewton Mendip. Steve Gibbs fought off stiff competition from the other finalist David Turner of Highwood Yeovil to take the title for 2012. Judge Allen Cotton said “this year it was a very tough competition to judge with exceptional entries and the two finalists being two great mechanics”.

The Award was presented at the Show by Sir Henry Elwes KCVO, President of the Royal Bath & West of England Society.
